Patient Education Symposium
The KC Foundation for PF, Dr. Mark Hamblin, and his staff hosted a virtual Patient Education Symposium.
The symposium was held over three Saturdays .

IPF vs. PF – discussion of different types of pulmonary fibrosis; how imaging and diagnosis may influence management with genetic tie in.

Anti-fibrotic therapy and clinical trials.

September 25th

IPF Co-morbidities (Cough, GERD, CAD, OSA).

Non-pharmacologic Therapy (without medications) (Oxygen, pulmonary rehabilitation, and other treatments).

Lung Transplant.

October 2nd

PH-ILD – Pulmonary hypertension associated with Interstitial Lung Disease.

End of Life Care (Symptom management, palliative care, hospice) .
